Exemptions

Do you have a law degree?

If you have a law degree and you have passed both the Contract Law unit and the Land Law unit as part of your degree, you will be eligible for an exemption from the Level 4 Programme. 

You can apply immediately to start the Level 6 Diploma in Conveyancing Law & Practice

Before you apply to sit your first assessment you will need to provide us with a copy of your degree transcript evidencing your eligibility for exemption. 

Have you completed the Graduate Diploma in Law?

If you have completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and have passed both the Contract Law and the Land Law unit as part of the Diploma, you will be eligible for an exemption from the Level 4 Programme. 

You can apply immediately to start the Level 6 Diploma in Conveyancing Law & Practice

Before you apply to sit your first assessment you will need to provide us with a copy of your Diploma transcript evidencing your eligibility for exemption. 

Have you completed the Legal Practice Course? 

If you have a law degree of the Graduate Diploma in Law and have completed the Legal Practice Course, you will be eligible for an exemption from the Level 4 Programme. 

If, as part of the Legal Practice Course, you passed the Advanced Property unit, you will also be eligible for an exemption from the Landlord & Tenant module and Conveyancing Law & Practice Modules which are part of the Level 6 Programme. 

You can apply immediately to start the Level 6 Accounts module upon completion of which you will gain your Level 6 Diploma. 

Before you apply to sit your assessment you will need to provide us with a copy of your degree / Graduate Diploma in Law transcript and a copy of your Legal Practice Course transcript evidencing your eligibility for exemption. 

Do you have CILEx Level 3 Qualifications? 

If you have a CILEx Level 3 Qualification which are equivalent to the CLC English Legal System module, Contract Law module AND Land Law module then you will be eligible for an exemption from these 3 Level 4 modules. 

You will still have to complete the Level 4 Standard Conveyancing Transactions module and the Level 4 Accounts modules to gain your Level 4 Diploma in Conveyancing Law and Practice. 

Before you apply to sit your assessment you will need to provide us with a copy of your CILEx Qualifications evidencing your eligibility for exemption.
